Ms. Moran's Web Page

My name is Kelsey Moran and I am starting my eighth year of teaching. I graduated from Grace University in Omaha, NE with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and numerous endorsements in various content areas. I taught Preschool and ESL for five years before making the career shift to Vocal Music and will be starting my third year as 7-12 Vocal Director this year. Additionally, I am going into my seventh year as Head Speech and Drama Coach.

Our AC/GC Music and Speech Departments have created a tradition of success, having had multiple students selected for both the prestigious All State Chorus and nominated for All State Large Group and Individual Speech. Additionally, our Drama Department participates in the Iowa High School Musical Theatre Awards every other year and won a "Most Distinguished Scene" Award in 2017.

I am an Iowa High School Speech Association certified judge, a member of the Urbandale Community Theatre Board of Directors, and directed UCT's Annie in Des Moines this past summer. In my free time, I enjoy running, a really good cup of coffee, and hanging out with my favorite 70-year-old church choir friends.

I truly have the best job in the world. Some of my favorite moments are spent rehearsing in the wee hours of the morning and into the late hours of the evening with our tremendously talented students.

Follow us on Facebook - ACGC Fine Arts - to keep up with the latest on band, choir, speech, & drama.
