I’ve been married to Evan for 19 years, and we have one son named Wyatt, who’s a junior at Greene County High School. Both of my parents live in Ankeny. I have an older brother in Ankeny, and a twin sister in Slater.

I love being adventurous. For example, skydiving, zip lining, parasailing, and snorkeling are so much fun!

I spend as much time with my family as I can! You can also find me working at the golf course throughout the summer in Guthrie.

TI love seeing that "lightbulb" moment in children when they accomplish something! I love helping students reach their goals, especially when they may find the task challenging at first.

The AC/GC Principals and Superintendent will be at the Guthrie Center Farmer's Market tomorrow morning from 9AM-11AM. Come say hi, grab some ice cream from Cafe on the Hill, and visit the other booths.

The previous message about the Transitional Kindergarten and Preschool Open House tonight at 5 pm is for the Guthrie Center Elementary.

Hello GC Parents,
Just a quick reminder that tonight at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria, we'll be hosting our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) & Preschool Open House! We will open the doors at the bottom of the steps on the south side of the building for you to enter.
With TK being brand new to our school, this is a great opportunity to learn more about the program and what it offers.
Feel free to share the invitation with friends, family, or community members who may need the information- especially if they don't currently have children in the building.
Here's a quick overview of our programs:
Preschool Program - 3-year-olds with IEPs & all 4-year-olds
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) - 5-year-olds (1/2 PreK, 1/2 K)
Kindergarten - 5-year-olds and older
We'll be sharing a lot more information about both our PreK and TK programs tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all there!

We missed recognizing our amazing librarians on Friday, April 4th for Librarian Appreciation Day, but we know every day is a good day to recognize them. Thank you to Kristi Chance & Megan Farnsworth for you continued support to our students!
This week also marks National Library Week. Be sure to thank your school librarians for their dedication and hard work and visit your community libraries in Guthrie Center, Adair, & Casey. They offer a wide range of services to help support our students and community!
