The Guthrie Center School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Taylor Tiernan as the new 7–12 Activities Director and At-Risk Coordinator for AC/GC High School. Mrs. Tiernan currently serves as a Special Education Teacher and Assistant Softball Coach at Waukee High School.
Mrs. Tiernan brings six years of teaching experience, along with 11 years of coaching experience and three years of event operations experience at Iowa State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Drake University. Mrs. Tiernan is excited to bring her educational and leadership experiences to AC/GC Schools.
Mrs. Tiernan is supported by her husband, Dan, who works in the family farm operation in Audubon County, and their dog, Maverick, who keeps them on their toes.
Mrs. Tiernan replaces Mr. Taylor Morris, Activities Director/At-Risk Coordinator, who resigned from his position earlier this year.
