The Guthrie Center School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. William Shull as the Physical Education Teacher, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Head Football Coach for AC/GC High School and Guthrie Center Elementary. Mr. Shull currently serves as a Physical Education Teacher at Adair-Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High. He also serves as the Head Girls Golf Coach at AC/GC High School.
Previously, Coach Shull contributed to the Charger Football program as an Assistant Coach and will now step into the role of Head Football Coach, replacing Cody Matthewson beginning next fall.
Mr. Shull brings three years of teaching experience, including the past two years at AC/GC Junior HIgh. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Northwest Missouri State University. He is excited to use his experiences and background to grow in these roles.
We are excited to have Coach Shull leading our Charger Football program and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our student-athletes and school community.
Mr. Shull is supported by his family: his wife, Skie, who currently serves as the 7–12 Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at AC/GC, and their son, Beckett (9 months).
