The 5th grade took a field trip to the Capitol Building, The Jordan House, and Bennet School in Des Moines.





The music department presented its 4th-6th grade Spring concert. The 5th and 6th grade bands performed a song together.

The votes have been counted and Adair-Casey Elementary has been named the Unruliest School by Unruly Splats and Elizabeth Moreland has been named the winner of the Unruliest Techie Award. Congratulations and keep up the great work.

The Guthrie Center School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Brian Sauser as the new 9-12 Principal for AC/GC High School.


5th Grade raised money through their "trash for cash" campaign for Abram Rutt Park in Casey. They also helped pick up trash and loaded over 8 trailers full of limbs.

Adair-Casey Elementary has been nominated for the Unruliest School of the Year Award for implementing coding across the building using a fun program called Unruly Splats. Elizabeth Moreland was also nominated individually for her work in implementing coding and Splats throughout the building. The Scholastic Buy One, Get One Book Fair will be held April 22-April 25. Each class has been assigned to visit the Book Fair on a certain day. Family Night will be held on April 25 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. 8th grade presented Endangered Species posters to the elementary classes this morning.





Two 6th graders earned their "Black Belts: in Band by completing all the assigned songs in their method books.

Adair-Casey Elementary hosted Breakfast with Someone Special this morning to a huge crowd. Thank you to everyone who attended.




Tomorrow, April 4, is Breakfast with Someone Special for Adair-Casey Elementary students. We will be serving in the elementary cafeteria from 7:45 to 8:15AM. Each elementary student is limited to bring two adults.


With March Madness going on, we had two AC/GC basketball players hand out the Chargers of the Week awards.


Nurse Quinn applied for free helmets through the All Heads Covered program, at Blank Children’s Hospital. She received enough helmets to give to kindergarten-2nd grade. The kids received bike safety training today, chose a helmet and were assisted in fitting the helmet!





The PK-3rd graders did a great job for their spring concert tonight as they told the story of The Day the Crayons Quit.

Students and faculty wore blue and yellow for Down Syndrome Awareness Day.
